This is why the league has been so interesting and different the last few years. Teams are mostly so close to each other and inconsistent that a few good results propels them up half a table and vice versa. The sides in the middle have the same consistency, it's amusing to see fans panic as a result.

So it's us next. Our 'first' team is back. Cesc isn't suspended any more. We buggered up last year against Brum, just like Wigan.

For the love of god Arsenal. Put this one way.

Two poor efforts from him.

Two free kicks that shouldn't have been for Brum, they could quite easily have had a pen. The ref's a bit gash again.

Edit - what is wrong with Djourou's hand?

Stamp? Jerome tried to hurdle him and caught him by accident.

Deffo not as innocent as that. Jerome wasn't flying and had reduced his pace considerably.

That and taking out Djourou mid jump, they're certainly sticking their boot in. Hopefully we'll do the same, but that will no doubt mean we get booked and they won't.

Looks like another day of poor officiating, there are quite a few strange decisions in this match, Liverpool's winner I hear was offside (?), and UTD should have conceded a penalty.

Just incase anybody missed it, a second stamp - this time on Sagna. That's three defenders Clichy is probably next..

Edit - 2-0 Nasri, he's looked like scoring in the last ten minutes. Lovely finish.

Lol they're not even trying to hide it - Jerome on Fabianski.

3-0 - that'll do. Especially due to our draw last year, Eduardo the previous and Wigan on Tuesday.

Next Wednesday is City for Arsenal which should be interesting.

City are starting to win slowly but consistently, i.e. the investments are paying off. They have a great away record whereas our home one isn't brilliant - though most recently we beat Chelsea at Ashburton. However they were in a bit of a slump at the time.

At the end of the season I think this will be part of the 3rd and 4th spot decider between ourselves, Spurs and City even though atm it's between 2nd and 3rd. Brilliant that we have Cesc back who played 90 mins today; bar any last minute freak injuries we should line up as strong as possible except for Vermaelen.
