There are two rounds of fixtures this week. I've included this time the fixtures that have been called off. Unless I can be bothered I won't be updating the original post for those that are called off nearer to their kick off.

Chelsea I think will be a loss, though to be fair with the team in funny form it's not a wholly bad time to play them. However I still don't see us getting three points. Cesc returning is a massive boost, but then Chelsea have Essien back as well. RvP likes scoring against them..when we do score against them and hopefully the extra minutes under his belt will help. Diaby is back apparently too...

Wigan away is also important - no doubt to get three points after Chelsea, but also banish that insane ten minutes last year.

Can't be easy for Blackpool in another way as well. They're right in the middle of nowhere, there's no nearby stadium they can hire for the day or something, say like a London club could do.

2-0 United?

Sunderland are by no means a rubbish side. They pegged us back to 1-1 and beat Chelsea 0-3. Looks like United are clicking into gear now.

Hmmm...you can see Defoe sort of checking the defender's position before hand. It doesn't look deliberate, and there was nothing really feisty in the game already. Very harsh.

We're going to get slaughtered.

Oh, what's that? Optimism? No thanks, not for me.

Ditto 2.

The odd thing is, the UTD game revealed an improvement from us.... and we were not being utterly bum rushed.

I can see it being an identical match to that, and/or Stamford Bridge earlier this year.

An early sort of out of place goal, lots of pressure by us and then a counter attacked winner from Chelsea.
