**SPOILERS** Football 26th Feb - 2nd Mar 2011

It is shocking when professional footballers get away with elbows in a game that haven't been seen by the referee. I can see a 4 match ban for Evra coming up.

I expect the media/MoTD witch hunt to get their man purely because it is Wayne Rooney.

Although some people do get away with these incidents.

I don't even remember that being discussed by the media let alone the FA committee :/

A better example would have been Gerrard (again) on Welbeck earlier this season. Obviously Rooney should get banned for his actions yesterday but the ref gave the free kick so obviously saw it so the FA shouldn't be able to do anything. With it being Rooney/utd though I'm sure they'll find a way to punish him by creating a new precedent

Skrtel and Carragher need to be shown the door. Skrtel's cost us so many goals this season and Carragher looks lost now.

Both were really poor today. Not only do they offer little to nothing on the ball but they were totally dominated physically by West Ham's forwards today. We'd have been better off with Soto in there.

In all honesty, other than in the odd spell, we were dominated all over the pitch. West Ham were first to everything in midfield and as a result Suarez and Kuyt had no service all game. Gerrard didn't look fit at all and Meireles still looks suspect in high tempo games.

The only positive today was Suarez; he was fairly quiet overall due to a lack of service but when he got the ball he looked like he'd make something happen.

Hopefully Aurelio is fit for next weekend because with Kelly likely to be out for a while, I'd worry about Wilson at LB. He looked totally lost when we switched to 4 at the back and was at fault for their 2nd goal.

Probably should have had a pen for the foul on Suarez at 1-0 but can't argue with the result, West Ham were the better team all game.

Even Liverpool fans are embarrassed by some of your comments Purdy, some times you should engage your brain before you type.

You made it about 'Saint Stevie', i simply stated his wasn't discussed because MOTD doesn't play on a monday, that game was on a monday.

Also its not like Rooney's elbow is being discussed hugely over the news really, motd simply discussed an incident in the game.

Sorry i'm not the brightest for you chief.

I mentioned Gerrard because of a Liverpool fan calling Rooney a disgusting human being, something which is ok to do when it's you're own Captain doing the elbowing.

Is the Rooney incident not being discussed? I've seen it several times already in the Sunday rags.

Again, the MoTD comment was nothing to do with Gerrard, I was talking about last night.

Engage brain young man.

True but you must be embarrassed by some of your fellow Mancs trying to claim Rooney's elbow was an accident.

In all honesty I read very few United fans posts on here. There is a select few I read but as with all clubs you get your knobs.

We've got Frank and a few others, you have Purdy and yourself ;)

When you referred to nothing being made of the Gerrard one, but lots being referred to of Rooney's were you definately not talking about MOTD then?

Also you said it wasn't discussed by the media or FA, well not trying to nit pick but http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/8569441.stm.

I'm either really retarded or i fixed your post so you 'engage brain'.

The Gerrard incident would have been mentioned on MOTD, and because Pearce says there will be a witch hunt doesn't mean their will be.

I'm sure if i went and spent more than 5 seconds on google i could find other papers/news sites mentioning the Gerrard one, just because Rooney's is mentioned in a few places hardly makes it a witch hunt.

You do that, the fact that people are talking about it means it is more high profile that SG's, who is in fact a thug on the pitch and off it.

The fact it is Rooney means it will all be blown out of proportion and returning to the original point it is highly hypocritical for Liverpool fans to brand him a "disgusting human being" and for you to think it was worse that the Gattuso incident.

Laughable, like your club.
