Scary result I got just now

But seriously, my net has been slower to respond recently. I've rebooted the modem of course. Overall d/l speed is reasonably normal for me but there's more of a pause before pages load and things like that.
Does the data below show up anything out of the ordinary.

DSL Line (Wire Pair): Line 1 (inner pair)
Protocol: G.DMT
Downstream Rate: 8064 kbps
Upstream Rate: 448 kbps
Channel: Fast
Current Noise Margin: 6.0 dB (Downstream), 23.0 db (Upstream)
Current Attenuation: 27.0 dB (Downstream), 16.0 db (Upstream)
Current Output Power: 19.9 dB (Downstream), 11.9 db (Upstream)
PVC Info: 0/38

Or should I get some other info? Thanks for any help

u think that's strange i have a screenshot of my laptop downloading at 3.2mb a second and i'm only on a 8meg connection lol

I thought they were a good isp?
Oh, they were a very good ISP. Then David Hasselhof came along and brought 2million more customers thus affecting performance, enforcing download controls and worsening customer service

Damn you Hof! :(

And 3.2mb/s, amazing. Would be so cool to have that

There's nothing abnormal in what you've posted...

Have to agree here, you attenuation is fine. Your SNR is a little low though, if you change to an ADSL2+ ISP you might not get full line rate thats all (16Mb/24Mb depending on provider).

Ways to improve (marginally) are removing the ring wire from the master socket (you may need to use mains powered phones/wireless if so) and getting one of those pre filtered ADSL master sockets.

An XTE-2005 faceplate is a good replacement for an NTE5 master socket faceplate.

Thank you Rabtech. We do have a pre-filtered master socket so I guess there's not much else to do. Other option would be to get a better router but that's not likely to help much either. Have a 2wire BT1800HG (I think)
