spoolsv.exe using 50% CPU

How can I stop this, as everything else is really slowing down.

And System idle process is using 48%

I'm on a vista business laptop if this helps.

Also, I really need my printer to be working so I can't stop spooler completely.

right click it - End Process.?

1. Type services.msc into the search box on the start menu.
2. Find the print spooler and restart it.

Thanks, that worked temporarily, but now it's gone back up to 50% usage.
