anyone stuck loads of those wings on then clicked glide? Mine shot off the top of the screen and didn't come back on for 2 seconds

No, did similar with jump. Got it up to 5 rating (max for all things, apart from life) and it flew of the top of the page and took a second or two to reappear.

If you've got wings added on to the creature, the glide button should be on the top right -under abilities?

As far as I can remember the Sims had no hype, no developer even wanted to publish it. Spore's purported to be out and then delayed so many times it started to get negative hype. I was of the opinion it would be a bit meh!, but not now.
