Spore Demo

How can you blame EA.
It's the idiots who buy it.

But at least you can design all your creatures. then easily import them into the game.
So it's not as bad as it looks.

Some arty guys may take ages designing there creatures. Then import them when the game comes out.

To be fair, June isn't that far away - max 2 months.

Have you no concept of time man! In the computer world there is "today", "tomorrow", "this week", "near future", "VAPORWARZ!!"

2 months falls dangerously close to the latter for my liking.

Anyone have a link to that games conference or something where they demonstrated spore a bit, and robin williams was asked to come up and try creature creator? It was a v funny video but i cant seem to find it any more. Now that the demo is soon to be released i just want to look back at some of the great videos of spore to help hold me off untill its ready for release :)

Anyone else say we hunt the OP down and kill him?

I'll warm up the tar! someone grab the pitchforks! ;) :p

I don't know, I used to look forward to this when I heard the idea, then I saw some pics and thought it looked ****. I might give this a chance though but if the demo is **** then I'm not even trying the full version.

I'm not sure if there will be any more civilisation games. I don't know whether I want there to be or not. Civ1 was the best game ever made. Civ2 was the second best game ever made. Civ3 however was pretty dire. Civ4 was okay but it still didn't capture the civ feel. Simplicity and brilliant gameplay was what made the first two shine.

Civ1 was so simple to play that I could play it when I was 6 or 7, hell even my sister who was 8 at the time could play it, and she still does. It's about the only computer game she ever plays.

The thing is, its not really a proper demo, as there's no real gameplay involved. The 'demo' is basically the creature editor. You get to design your race of creatures using a shedload of interchangable parts, but you can't take them out and watch them evolve or anything.
