Sports Personality Of The Year 2015

Voted for Armitstead, although i think Froome's achievements are a bit more impressive that's not really a fair comparison considering the women's cycling calendar, and i would have liked to see women's cycling get a bit more exposure. Still, i thought it was going to be between Murray and Farah considering those are the two big household names that have had good years, somewhat surprised Farah wasn't even in the top three.

EDIT: Supposedly a full list of results, very disappointing to see Fury up so high (majority of people seemed to vote for him just to **** off others, i mean what the hell?) and Armitstead and Froome so low. To be expected considering cycling isn't that popular in the UK yet, but Farah i really don't understand why he's not higher.

It's not about a personality, never has been. Should be called sports popularity :p

I partly agree and you could certainly blame the ECB for their lack of sight in throwing live cricket on free-to-air...

But you've a player who's the #1 test batsman in the world who plays like he's having a laugh with his mates. Talented, cheeky, funny and just a likeable character, certainly the poster boy that could get children into picking up a bat and having a go.

But putting exposure aside he's done a hell of lot this year and why he was brushed aside is beyond me...

So who wins 2016?

There is

Andy Murray (1 gold medal, Wimbledon winner, 2 GS finals, and US open still to go)
Jason Kenny (3 gold medals)
Laura Trott (2 gold medals)
Max Whitlock (2 gold and 1 bronze medals)
Mo Farah (likely 2 gold medals)

I think if Murray wins the US Open he should get it again. The ATP finals would also be quite an achievement.

Murray. I have criticised him a lot in the past, but fair play, credit where it is due. He is basically world number one at the moment and seems like a decent guy at that.
