eg. not for bmw anyway ?

the bm 90's parts are now about 3x what they were oem originally on the realoem web-site - after I looked up some perishable rubber work hoses/air-boot ....
so stockpiling is an investment beating inflation

I'm not supprised a lot of manufacturers maintain availability of parts, they must make a fortune on them. It never ceased to amaze me how much VW could charge for a small piece of plastic.
