Now I know that Ive been a bit of a **** on here but Ill stop now.

Im going to be spraying my alloys and just wondering where is the best place to buy the stuff. Primer, Paint and Laquer. So far Ive look at Halfords and well its like £6 for 1 can for each of them. So it comes in total £36.
Just wondering if people know anywhere where I can get the stuff cheaper cause I dont really want to be paying anymore than £25.

Cheers

well my mates done his for that price and it looks good. It was £36 for Halfords own brand stuff and so I dont want that and their prices are a rip off anyways.

Near me we have a spray store, if you give them the paint code they will supply the paint in a can or in a tup for a sprayer.

Fairly cheap and most likely better paint than from Halfords.

Check yell.com

Try local motorfactors, I used to work in one and our paint was about half the price of Halfords.

As said, get your paint from elsewhere. A small local paint or automotive shop will most likely shave pounds off per can compared to halfords.

I'd be inclined to get some quotes for a professional refurb, its going to cost more but will look a million times better

I have got quotes and its between £180-£250 and I dont have that much cash at all. My mate sprays pretty well, his alloys look good and others that hes done before look good. Plus he is gonna do them for a couple of quid.

Save up and do it properly - just my 2p

Surely you must have a bit of spare cash, what if you need to replace tyres or something?

I do have spare cash for tyres and for my bush links but I would rather spend it on that than refurbing my alloys properly. Plus I can get tyres cheap as chips and no crappy 1s either.

he cant remember, he used paint that he had in his garage from the last time he did his alloy which was like 2 years ago.

You can do a decent job with spraycans easily, it's all about the prep. Step brother has sprayed his bike wheels bright orange (don't ask) and, despite being a silly colour, the finish is brilliant.
