I've got my old Chieftech Dragon sat doing nothing and I want to have a bash at doing it up as a little side project.

Having done a little search on here I think spraying the metal should be fine but not sure about the plastic.

Does it need sanding in the same way as the metal, and will i need to sand it down before I stick the base coat on.

Its blue at the moment and will probably do it pink or something for the missus.

Thanks

Depends what kind of plastic it is? Textured or a glossy finish or whatever else. For most I would think sanding it down a bit first before using a primer or your base coat would be a good idea, remove and finish which may of been put on it and will ensure the paint will adhere properly :) You can also get craft spray paint which is designed for use on various things including plastics

But never done it myself, thats all just assumptions :p only ever sprayed plastic which I knew was meant to be sprayed.

Guess I'll sand the colour off first then.

Anyone know if it will look the same shade of colour as the metal will?

Don't want the metal and plastic looking like different colours.
