9% to 10%.
Dividends cut to 2k though, that will cause some knashing of teeth :D

Corbyn is putting in one of his better responses. If he only he had the sense or ability to put policy and media strategy behind the points he's making.

He just comes across as bumbling. We really need a decent opposition.

Disappointed that the Help to Buy ISA wasn't changed in terms of house prices it relates to, was hoping it would match the Lifetime ISA.

I basically I have money in there I can't get the 25% on now until I've held a LISA for 1 year, bit rubbish as I want to buy this year :(

They really don't like contractors do they.

A lot of contractors have been taking the **** for a long time. They've only themselves to blame (although you've got to feel sorrry for those who've always followed the spirit of the law).

And then Cameron resigned and we were left in this odd position of having a prime minister that not even the Conservative party members voted into power.

Are Cameron's manifesto pledges now null and void? I guess so.

The Tories were all elected on that manifesto, and May claims legitimacy based on an election won on that manifesto. It's not just Cameron's commitments.

Right, but you don't vote for the prime minister. You vote for an MP who will represent you at national level. And that MP runs on the same manifesto as their party.

Taking the P how so? Do you mean dodgy loan schemes etc?

There has being a massive taxation gap between self employed and employed, too big for too long.

Never mind the headline rates of NI and Tax, the fact you are on a much more generous expenses regime which means as self employed you can claim legally for things which employees can't you end up with a massive gap.

When my other half was self employed she was paying an effective tax rate legally of around 14% of gross earnings and the majority of self employed contractors will pay much much less rate of tax than the equivalent employee depending on the industry they are in.

Even with today's changes its still more than worth while to be self employed if you can.
