Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.5

Has anyone else who has Spybot SD 1.5 realised that it takes ages to load up? I find whenever I run Spybot I can be waiting up to 30 seconds or more waiting for it to load. This is about 30 seconds until the progress bar appears and then Spybot.

Or is it my PC?

Think its just the fact its on vista.

That could be the problem I suppose. Apart from the fact I'm on XP Pro SP2.

its slow to load here on vista 64bit

Just reinstalled. When I run it after the install it loads instantly. Running it from the desktop and I'm still waiting 30 seconds.

I had no probs with the 1.4 release, its the 1.5 release causing me problems.

Buy a Mac, then you wont need it at all.

Its a bug go to there website and download the fix which is a new exe file

Hmm..I'm on XP and it takes an absolute age to load up - almost thirty seconds before the status bar appears.

U need to copy and paste the 2 new files over the original files in the spybot folder.

so C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy copy the spybot exe into this folder and then copy the domains file into here C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Includes

Using XP Pro...used the fix, and now Spybot launches almost immediately.....

It takes ages to load for me as well (Vista x64).

EDIT: The patch fixed it for me.
