Spyware/Adaware software

Is there a program out there to stop getting this stuff? My mum gets a different one every month and I have to sort it out.

You know the type - you're infected please by this and then it hijacks IE etc?

Any free prevention software or even paid I don't mind just want her to stop getting this stuff as it's annoying

Cool thanks guys. She swears she only goes to sites like QVC etc but I don't believe her, I've never known someone to get so much crap!

Will give it all a whirl
