SR102 issues

Hiya,

So my folks have just switched to sky Internet, and we have been given this router. We are not on fibre. We are having issues with signal strength and drop outs so I was wondering what would be the best fix.

A new router?
Booster?
Or is there some other issue?

Our Internet is only 3mb or so, so every bit of speed counts! Thanks guys, I'm a complete novice at networking so please be gentle!

A new router would solve you're issues and might you a bit of a speed boost.

Meaning between 2.4 and 5ghz?

I can't seem to see an option to separate these in the settings?

What would you recommend? Would I just need a new router or would I need anything else?

No, the current SR102 only supports 2.4GHz. Change the broadcast channel. Download Wi-Fi Analyzer if you have an android device and check your neighbouring channels and set one which is apart.
