SSD advice req!!!

intel, crucial m4 are the top players if you want reliability get one of them, if wanting max speed and risk of problems then go for corsair or ocz

buy as suggested a Intel or vertex drive from last generation, they proven good performers. no use to buy the new generation for your motherboard.
the difference isn't there in daily use.

Seeing as you only have sata 2 ports on your mobo, you could get a Vertex 2E 120GB.

Maybe not as fast as sata 3 drives, but in real world performance think you will be happy.
Not really any point going with the Vertex 2E right now, even with a SATA 3 Gbps motherboard. The M4 is only about £10 more and doesn't suffer from the throttling of the SandForce drives (especially the 1xxx versions used in the Vertex 2s). It also excels at 4k reads and writes, which is important for "snappiness".

The other option is to go cheaper and get a Vertex or something. Depends on budget and whether you want to use the SSD in a new motherboard in the future to take advantage of SATA 6Gbps or not.

Ooops, for some reason i thought the Crucial was £210 (think my eye was drawn to the Vertex 3 just above :D).

If the op did go for the Crucial M4, how would this perform on sata 2 (would like to know for myself also)?
