Ssd advice

My ide hard drive died so I am thinking upgrading to a ssd drive, I just wonder if my motherboard will be OK for a ssd drive as its a few years old.

Gigabyte 970a-ds3p AM3. Motherboard. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks

Looking on Gigabyte's website it doesn't show any IDE connectors so not sure how you connected your old IDE Hdd, it does however show 6 x SATA ports so just plug any SATA SSD into one of those and install Windows to it.

As above any of the sata ports will do
