Hi, i want to get a SSD for my pc. i'm lookin at the M4 ones.
Main question is: is it possible to transfer win7 from my current harddrive and onto the SSD without having to buy a new copy. i own the retail version. if so how do u do it?

Yes you can clone your harddrive onto the SSD with software like Acronis*True*Image*Home

But i would recommend you do a fresh install of windows 7
(With your retail version of windows 7 you no need to buy a new copy ;)

ok thanks :) just gotta get the money to buy one. would the m4 be the best to get? also what size would be good to get?

The M4 had that 5200 hour time bomb (Has that been fixed? I'm still running firmware 0001 on mine :S) but it's a good SSD and I've got no problems with it, I doubt the 5200hour problem will still be here by the time most people get to that :). (If you're wondering, and 'bomb' is that after 5200 hours it shuts down every hour. No data loss, but still)
Size depends on what you're going to be using it for. If you have another HDD, 128gb will be fine for Windows, Office and a few other things, but it's all down to how much you use it.

Yes with the 309 firmware :)
Link to firmware here http://www.crucial.com/support/firmware.aspx

128GB

.
I would recommend a Crucial RealSSD M4 over a corsair

There been a lot of people on here that had problems with some the corsair SSD's (including myself )
