SSD and Hibernation

Is hibernation a big no no? I imagine it dumps a lot of stuff off the RAM onto the hard drive, especially if you have superfetch enabled.

The thing is that it is incredibly useful for a laptop where you would use hibernation to save battery power whilst also still having your desktop as it was.

i have done no tweaks other than what Windows 7 has automatically done (so indexing etc.).

I think it's more to do with space saving than much else, I wouldn't worry about it.

I would double check that Windows 7 has actually made those changes automatically, in my experience even if you run the WEI test it does nothing at the moment.

What you need to disable (or check that's disabled) is Superfetch, Indexing and Defrag.
