I posted here a while back as I was looking to get a new system but never ended up doing it and for now I'm just going to upgrade to a new SSD and some more RAM.

I do a lot of Photoshop work and I only have a 75GB SSD so Photoshop is starting to lag as it's nearly full (got Windows 7 64 bit, Photoshop and few other programs on the SSD, everything else is another drive), plus I can't stand the 'scratch disk is full' error any longer. Working with large PSD's in PS means even if I have 15GB free on it, it can soon be zero and start coming up with the error.

So basically I'm on the look out for a new SSD (120GB at least, prob 256GB though) and some new RAM. Got 6GB currently so looking at 8GB at least, possibly more though.

My motherboard is the following; Giga-Byte GA-X58A-UD3R

I'm not entirely sure what will and won't be compatible with it, but I'm looking at the following;

2 x http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-299-CS

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-159-SA&tool=3

Would these be good replacements and compatible? Any help would be greatly appreciated, don't really know much about this sort of stuff!

Thanks,

Chris

The ssd will do tou good I have it for os and steam rock solid performance and speed is great im loaded abd waiting in oline games while my friends are still loading
Look at patriot black mamba ram I have 8GB and there great for the money great performance

Thanks for the replies. Why are people choosing the Samsung Green over the Patriot RAM Idleman suggested?

As I'm not looking to overclock would it be worth sticking with the Patriot or is the Samsung Green worth the extra £13?
