as the title says really.

mobo is a P6X58D-E.

it says it has 6gb/sec sata. is this the right thing for an ssd?

looking through the other threads, i'm not sure which is the right drive to get either.

looking at 120gb.

any advice welcome.

does that mean it won't run at the rated speeds?
runs unreliable?

also so many stories of the ocz drives being very unreliable but all the rest seem to be so much slower.

It means a lot of people find they don't run anywhere near 6Gbp/s and in some cases they aren't that much better than the Intel SATA 3Gb/s ports.

From this thread here's a Crucial M4 128GB on an Intel 6Gbp/s port:

And the same drive on a Marvell 6Gbp/s port:

They do seem to have used IDE mode in the last one though.
