I ordered the "Ultima Viper" Intel Core i7 from OcUK in 2011 and recently decided to buy an SSD. I phoned OcUK sales support and was recommended the Samsung 250GB SSD 840 SATA 6Gb/s Basic (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-162-SA). I did so and also ordered the OcUK Professional 2.5" to 3.5" SSD Adaptor Plate (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-002-OP) from the recommendation of the OcUK sales guy.
I fastened the SSD to the adapter plate (following the guide). Next I tried to attached the adapter plate to the rack sitting inside the case.
However after opening up my case and freeing up a SATA power cable, I cannot see how the adapter plate can be fasted to the inside of the case.
The adapter plate fits, but the screws with the adapter plate do no reach far enough through the rack to fasten the adapter plate. They don't even come close to protruding on the other side of the rack.
I tried using some screws already in the rack and they too don't even get close to reaching the adapter plate.
I feel I must be doing something wrong, since the rack inside the case is quite thick and the adapter plate screws are really very short.
