Current set up is a 60GB Vertex 2 loaded with Windows and apps.
1TB F3 with steam / games and media
1TB F3 as backup and more media

With the price of larger SSD's becoming more affordable, is it worth getting a 256gb M4 for example, as a games only drive. I dont know if the performance benefit would be worth it. However i do play lots of flight sims so surely microstuttering would be reduced? But then again the flight sims are huge installs and would prob fill 256gb in no time.

What do you reckon, go with a M4, or stay with HDD for a while longer?

I would get the M4 and replace the vertex 2 with it. Have a bigger windows drive and install the games you use the most to it. Perhaps then you could sell the vertex or use it somewhere else.

i have games installed on my M4. The only difference you will see is load times between games.

on the other hand I am looking at getting another 64GB M4 just to put games on and free up 20GB off my boot drive
