SSD As a standalone drive

I'm currently pricing up a new build, and I can either get a 1TB HDD or get a 128GB SSD. I have multiple external HDDs at the moment so storage isn't a problem, but could I use an SSD as my only drive until I get a normal HDD for storage? It'd just be holding my OS and games for now. I'm pretty sure this would be fine, but I'd just like to confirm before I buy and then wonder why it's not working

I'd buy the SSD first in your situation.

The Corsair looks like it has better speeds, but the Samsung is a bigger saving, so I'm not sure if I'm missing something? Cheers.

Either the Samsung or this: Intel 330 Series 120GB

Are the best choices.
