Hi folks,
I was on the verge of buying an SSD drive earlier this year, but due to financial constraints I relented and did not make the purchase.
I have the following motherboard -
ASUS A8N-SLI socket 939 PCI-E DDR400 SATA
After some searching around I have found a number of people having problems with installing an SSD drive onto this motherboard. Apparantly the BIOS on the motherboard does not recognise the SSD drive.
Anyone come across such a problem? To be honest I wasn't too suprised. I built my PC back in 2005 and after doing some more research I found a guy who had posted something on Asus Support regarding this exact problem. Their response -
"You should not mix hardware from different generations"
