SSD Bios Boot Issue

Hey guys,

just built myself a new gaming rig yesterday and all going swimmingly, except for an issue with the SSD and booting from it.

I have the SSD hooked up to the correct SATA-III slot, my secondary HDD hooked up to a SATA-II slot, DVD drive same etc.

When I go into the BIOS to change the boot order, the SSD doesn't appear in the list to select from - yet if I instead go to the boot menu (instead of BIOS), I can boot from it there! I can even boot from the SSD when saving the BIOS settings - just doesn't appear in the boot order list...

Any ideas? I've had a good scout around the BIOS settings but nothing is sticking out to me as to what might be the issue. I've built a good few PCs before, but when it comes to these issues, i'm not too clued up.

SSD - OCZ 128GB Vertex 4
Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-X79-UD3

Cheers!

I know on my Gigabyte board there is the page where you set 1st, 2nd and 3rd boot devices and then there is another page where you set which order the hard drives boot in.

EDIT: it's under Advanced BIOS Features > Hard Disk Boot Priority on mine.
