i have AHCI enabled in Bios
is this something that ive done wrong?
ive no other HDD's attached yet.

Hi cheers for reply. I've it plugged into Intel controller. Have tried 2 different sata ports 0 & 4. I've the latest bios installed f13b.
Should I have unplugged the data cables from the motherboard when installing Windows? I only unplugged them from the hdd

Hi I installed it first by disconnecting hdds but forgot to set ahci. Then I redid the install with drives disconnected and set to ahci but still had the issue.

I just changed AHCI to IDE in the Bios and that issue went away but so did about 80mb from the speed of the ssd on benchmark.
with AHCI its about 280mb and on IDE its 210mb
my board only supports Sata_2 not Sata_3
is that a decent speed for the SSD?
i reattached my HDD's and the issue is still there.
how do i check if AHCI is correctly running
