Hi

Am totally confused about which SSD to go for to match my Mobo which is a
Gigabyte P67A-UD3-B3 Intel P67 Chip set

I think it is has a Intel controller

Am looking at getting a Crucial RealSSD M4 128GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive, which I believe has a MARVEL Controller.

Picked the Crucial after reading the excellent tests done on this forum but is this the best one for my setup.

Thanks for any advice Nigel

Easiest way is to Google the MB

Check the specs under "Storage Interface"

In your case this entry is what your looking for

2 x SATA 6Gb/s connectors (SATA3_0, SATA3_1) supporting up to 2 SATA 6Gb/s devices

short answer .....yes it will support that nice M4 drive ... as long as you plug it into the correct port to get full Read/Write speeds :)

Sorry to ask in your thread but i am also thinking about getting 2off 128Gb M4 drives and creating a raid 0 array, but i am confused about this firmware version 9 , do they come with this on or do you need to flash them?
one wholesaler is advertising as the "NEW VERSION" do you think this means it comes already with version 9 firmware or is there something else maybe
