SSD Caching problems

Hi guys,

I run a 90Gb OCZ Vertex 3 as an SSD Cache. Or rather I did, until I reformatted Windows a few weeks back. Since then, it's not worked.

I set it up as per the Intel RST software:

Once this is done, RST happily shows everything now working properly and the cache set up - though at 64gb as thats the max allowed size which is fine.

Then I reboot my PC.

Only to find this:

And then this:

This literally happens every time I try and set it up.

What's wrong? This is how I set it up last time.

Thanks!

Thanks for the ideas :)

Just updated to the latest drivers and version of Intel RST. The problem remains.

The bizarre thing is this always used to work fine. I don't want to do anything but use SSD Caching because I was really happy with the way it worked when it worked.

I don't think there is an Asus version.

This all worked perfectly fine for ages :(

Actually thinking about I randomly turned it on one day and it had stopped working - saying the device wasn't present. I then reinstalled Windows a week later and have not had it working since.

I've just uninstalled RST and now I've done so it's helpfully told me that I'll probably lose my RAID0 array as a result of uninstalling the software/drivers?! Surely this isn't the case? I didn't set my RAID0 array up in RST I set it up manually in the controller BIOS before I even installed Windows!

I'm now frantically backing my system up before I hit reboot

Well that went well. All working lovely last night.

Woke up this morning to find a bunch of application exception errors for everything that was running in the background overlaying my lock screen. Entered my password and BSOD.

Windows now wont start, at all. Startup Repair doesnt fix it. I've removed the cache drive and disabled it in the Intel BIOS all to no avail.

Guess I'll whack a post up in the Windows forum..
