is it the marvell driver again im not sure as there tha same driver arent they but i guess the one from microsoft update would be a diffrent version maybe a newer one?

Hmmm,i just googled it too and didnt come up with many results at all! Infact, this page was at the top! LOL

I see the guy on the asus site saying he downloaded the marvell driver from the asus website so thats a bit weird(maybe they screwed it up with an "update")....and then he says he fixed it by unplugging his PSU for 20 minutes wtf......hope you get it sorted!

ok i think ive been a big numpty ive pluged the sata cable into the intel sata port but if i remeber right there was another sata port on the board that said ssd caching im guessing i have to plug it into this port if i plug it into this port will it affect any settings i have all i want to do really is see if i can get it to boot quicker and this is what was recomeded to get quicker boot times

so the asus manual ive got says
"connect one HDD and SSD into the marvell sata ports (sata6G_E1/E2). Asus SSD caching will automatically dectec the SSD and HDD."

Here is the pic of my motherboard and i have circled the port which in the manual it indicates to plug the cables into but i still get the erorr message
