Sorry if this has already been covered somewhere, but afer reading the sticky on SSD, which was awesome, Im still non the wiser about proper care for an SSD.

I'll be running Win 7 and im wondering if anyone knows whats best to do/not do with the SSD.

THe SSD will be my primary drive for OS and program files.

Whats the final word on Page Files? etc etc etc

Thanks a bunch

Roscoe

Install with AHCI enabled, make sure the scheduled defrag is disabled and that's about it. You don't have to do any more tweaks. Most of the tweaks that people recommend for SSDs are for the very first ones that came out that had stutter problems.

Well said. People need to stop worrying. :)

Cool stuff... im not a worrier but when you see countless conflicting articles all over the web about killing your SSD with page files and defrags its hard not to care about THE most expensive bit of hardware in a system. :-)

I agree with you, I worried a lot about my SSD when I first got it but now it seems to be all fine pretty much without any looking after :p
