I'm looking at getting an ssd finally, 128gb should do me fine - but does an ssd suffer if it gets close to filling up? (remember having that issue bacjk in the day with a small hdd)
seems like the M4 is recomended on here more than anything, which was one of the ones i was considering anyway so kinda answered that one!
what i would prefer to do is clone the hdd onto the new ssd to save reinstalling windows and programs, is it ok to do that or are there any performance issues with that method? and does anyone know the easiest way to clone a laptop drive?

Even though some have gone through the cloning route without any problem, I always prefer a fresh install just to prevent any glitches afterwards...So if you could back up your laptop content to and external media, I would recommend doing a fresh install

I took delivery of my new SSD a few days ago and I did a fresh install. I was dreading it, but actually it ended up almost being a pleasure to do. Installing windows and, well doing anything really, is so much quicker on an SSD...

So an M4 is the way to go still?

Looking to get one soon for the OS...

...and Steam maybe? Is it worth it for games? I ask because is my Steam folder is 137GB at the moment.

it's more the reinstall of programs that will be a hassle, and also the laptop hdd has a few partitions (recovery and a quicklaunch thing) so i would like to keep those too - cloning seemed like a good idea!
