SSD choice for laptop?

Hello, I'm looking to put a SSD drive into my laptop soon. What is the best value option at the moment? My laptop is an acer aspire 5738 - i dont think its worth getting a 6gbs ssd. I just want to speed up the everyday operation of my laptop. I was looking at the momentus xl 500gb, but it seems to have slightly erratic performance. Any suggestions would be appreciated.


edit: I am happy with anything under 100gb, planning on using my current 500gb as an external drive.

Personally, I think the Intel drives are the most reliable and consistent regarding performance, I have not tried the latest intels, but would guess their ok.
