Hi i have just bought the Crucial real SSDC300 64GB to replace my 40GB intel SSD.

I currently have a Corsair Nova in my Desktop im not sure whether to replace my Corsair Nova and use the Crucial SSD in my dekstop, and use the Nova in my laptop as its has faster read speeds.

The Crucial has 355mb read but only 70mb write.

The Corsair has 270 read but has 195write.

Will i benefit much by having the faster read speeds in my desktop rather than my laptop which dosent get as much use as my desktop.

The real Corsair Nova sustained write speeds won't be that high. It's an Indilinx based drive, so if you've got the 64GB version you're actually looking at 70MB/s there too, or 100MB/s if you have the 128GB. Copy a large file onto it from a fast drive or Ramdisk and see the average speed for yourself if you like. OCZ Vertex spec sheets - The OCZ Vertex uses the same controller.

Sequential write speeds really don't matter that much anyway.

Put the C300 in your desktop, It's easily the better drive.
