SSD Dead?

My uncle has recently had an issue on his laptop where it kept going to windows recovery. He's since replaced the SSD with a crucial and has asked if i can retrieve anything off the broken one.

I've tried plugging it in to windows to however it's not recognised in disk management. Never seen this with an SSD so any ideas?

Doh, please close this thread. I've just plugged it in again to test and it's now working.

Not sure if it's something I had done incorrectly or if its on it way out.
