I'm looking to upgrade my SSD (currently got a OCZ Vetex 2 100GB) as I need more space for games etc. I was thinking of upgrading to one of the new SATA III SSDs but the problem is I've got a Rampage III Extreme (Marvell 9128 SATA 6Gb/s controller).
The main 2 issues are:
1) is it worth getting a SATA III when I've got a Marvell controller (speedwise)?
2) Does the Marvell 9128 controller support TRIM?
What with all the new SandForce issues I'm edging towards the Intel 510 Series "Elmcrest" (250GB). Has anyone used a Elmcrest with the Marvell 9128 controller?
Cheers
