Spent 3 hours yesterday setting up my data onto a new ssd. Speedy, loads of reboots after installing stuff, everything great.
I have just come to switch on my pc today and no boot into windows. The drive is no longer showing in the bios. Is it dead? Is there anyway I can get anything to detect the drive?

Obvious first questions are:

Is it still plugged in to power and data? My SSD is just sitting in the case, so I suppose it could fall out wen I move the case.
Is it still dead if you plug into a known good power and data, or even another PC?

If it's dead no matter what sounds like RMA time to me!

this happens all the time with various ssds i've used on various motherboards. there isn't really a good answer other than change cables and port then boot up and it'll always fix the problem. sata just always seems buggy to me on intel and amd platforms.

Never had an issue with my ocz drive. This one is a mushkin which worked fine all yesterday but has decided not to live today.
Have tried in laptop but drive still not detected.

had it with mine this week !

sometimes theres like a power loop thing you do which solves it

i got mine to come back on and updated firmware fine now
