any good ,or not? just wondering about my options on getting more disc space should i get another ssd .,hdd or external drive ,i have had a look and one i like supports 3.5tb external using usb 3 i bet thats a usefull tool ,but twice the price of the others ,not sure about these ssd drives a lot of money with little gain and a bloody headache .well not the sort gains im to botherd about but im sure others do/are excited about there gains. or put another hdd drive in 1tb ,got to admit they are good value ,for the money .

From another thread:

one thing i forgot to mention is to disable hibernation if you don't use it. click on start>all programs>accessories>right click "command prompt" and "run as administrator". now type in

powercfg -h off

that saves a good chunk of disk space on your system drive.

This can recover around 5gb of space depending on how much ram you've got.

Here corsair recommend reducing the restore points space although I can't actually work out how to find that setting atm.

There are other things you can do like move my documents to a mechanical drive (quick guide). Remember it's programs with lots of small files that benefit from an ssd so it's not detrimental to have files stored elsewhere.

no i dont really use hibernation my computer is either off or on ,any way messing about with the smart 6 setting quick bios and quick boot up and every time i either turn off me screen or me home hub the bloody computer boots up again either that or it wont shut down and have to do ctrl alt delete to shut down.well my next step how to turn off hibernation ?also is there something with these ssd drives where leaving your computer in sleep mode can be detremental to the life of the drive?

What motherboard is it? Try turning off any 'switch on by kb, mouse, network etc' settings in the BIOS.

I'm not aware of any problem with using sleep and an ssd.
