SSD Drive Indexing Windows7

I have a system with a ssd, which is proving to be very fast, and I think I've done all the necessary system tweaks etc. it's a Samsung RBX MCCOE64G5MPP-0VA - I think its a rare one, has a 140MB read speed.

However with windows indexing turned off, searching especially within outlook isn't super fast. The pst is over 2gb. With indexing turned on, searches are practically instant, however I can see from the resource manager many writes are are made. I assume this will settle down after a while.. should I be concerned about ware on the drive, and just re-enable indexing ?

Would a vertex or similar make a huge difference ?
Is it just because I have a silly sized pst ?
Is it safe to use indexing on SSD's ? (the keyword "index" doesn't go well when searching forums/google etc, so apologies if is been coverd many times before).

Any suggestions appreciated.

i not turned my indexing off leave it on as you need it for your PST, the result of do search in the PST is CPU limited so with no index service running it takes an long time as it has to manuel scan the PST instead of looking it up in an ready indexed file

when the indexer is run for the first time it has to index all the stuff after it only do small writes, as yours is samsung based SSD should not have an problem (vertex should not be an problem as well as thay have an wiper tool), Keep 20gb free if you can to keep the drive in good working order

as long as defrag is off prefecthers, superfetch, your should be ok
