I know they are chip based but not up on things like cooling ?

i'm thinking of a small drive just for my O/S

ram chips get very warm but i'm guessing SSDs will always feel cool - do they heat up at all ?

any links to this sort of thing appreciated

thanks

No they don't, they use very small amounts of voltage, that is one of the main advantages of them :) And RAM chips might get warm, but they can take it easily.

excellent - thanks very much

read a micro mart article (periodical of kings !) mentioning how
important the controllers are on the drives

when i find that article it will be a useful read :)
