SSD Drives - do they need cooling ?

I know they are chip based but not up on things like cooling ?

i'm thinking of a small drive just for my O/S

ram chips get very warm but i'm guessing SSDs will always feel cool - do they heat up at all ?

No they don't, they use very small amounts of voltage, that is one of the main advantages of them And RAM chips might get warm, but they can take it easily.

important the controllers are on the drives

when i find that article it will be a useful read

Yeah my vertex dont make any heat at all, just run at room temp
