SSD for media pc

Any recommendations for a reliable SSD boot drive for a media pc? Doesn't need to be blisteringly fast and I think 60GB is enough capacity.

Would this be ok?

In my opinion I wouldn't get anything less than 120GB and i strongly recommed that you go for a Samsung SSD.

The below is only £35 more than the Kingston one and it's made by a better SSD manufacturer and has twice the capacity.

I run my media PCs off the 30GB Kingston drives. Never had a problem with them, simply don't need the extra space of the bigger drives. Linux + xbmc, server runs WHS2011 on one of these as well.

60GB is surely enough for a clean media pc install. ie no Steam games!

Depends on what you are putting on it.
Windows + Media program you will be fine on 60GB.

The way I see it the Samsung drives are the market leader and for $80 you get 120GB which is only a little bit more than a 60GB model.

Yes, you're right, but any money saved on the media pc can go towards gaming pc upgrades :-)

30gb is ample for a media pc.

Disable system restore
Disable hibernation

Job done.

120gb suggestion is way ott

I'd get the cheapest 60GB SSD money can buy.

I'd even consider those refurb OCZs...well, maybe...
