Ok, im really new to the whole building a PC thing, so i need help.

im planning on getting a 32GB or 64GB SSD, as well as a 750GB Samsung F1 but was wondering if it was possible to install the OS, and maybe my more high end games on the SSD?

i wasnt sure if all the documents, and program files could be on the Samsung, with just windows on the SSD, to make booting up faster?

if i put the OS on the SSD, would it be possible to still have the Samsung as the primary drive? that would make installing stuff easier.

please tell me there isnt some really obvious answer ive missed lol :D

Keeping "system" and "data" separately is best practise really. (System might go wrong in so many ways!)

SSD (2x32GB for max performance with a striped RAID) will hold your OS and any software/games you use very frequently. (SSD RAID will feel like RAM really :p)

Samsung F1 will hold all your photos, music, movies etc. which you only access every other day so to speak. In the case of software/games that will go on the samsung (lets say a program you use to edit your photos every week) you just have to create a "Program Files" folder on the samsung really and install the game/software there and it will do (people click "next" so fast on installers that they don't even notice you can choose path :p)

get the 32GB OCZ Core SSD install O.S on there and appz and the games you play the most, install the rest of the games on a 640GB Western digital. the 750GB Samsung f1 is much slower than the 640gb f1 and WD 640GB.

Ok, thanks a lot guys :D
@Talrinys - yeah, im gonna wait for prices to come down, as i dont have enough at the mo anyway lol :P
@drak3 - i won't be able to afford the 2x32GB unfortunately :( but thanks for explaining it all :D
@clocka - i read a bit about the WD but tbh i dont think its worth it - id rather get the samsung because of the larger storage, and the performance difference is tiny. but i will be putting the OS and appz and games i use the most on the SSD :D

Also, just had another thought, would it be better to get 2x Hitachi Deskstar T7K500 and set up in RAID 0 instead of the 750GB F1?
