SSD for SATA2 latptop

Hey there,

I've got a Sony laptop CS11 with Sata2 interface and I'd like to install an SSD drive - budget approx £150 - so looking at 120/128GB most likely.

The two I'm looking at would probably be:

OCZ Vertex 2E 120GB
Crucial RealSSD M4 128GB

I realise the laptop is SATA2 but would there be a benefit to using a SATA3 SSD with the SATA2 interface?
Is the M4 controller better than the SandForce on the Vertex 2?
On paper the M4 has slower write speeds, but in real world would it still be faster?

I've used OCZ Vertex 2E before in desktop and worked great, but given the recent problems with latest SandForce ones I'll avoid the likes of Vertex3 etc.

Are there other alternatives that would be better?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Marcus
