SSD Format leading to blue screen

So I bought Crucial CT240M500SSD1 240GB from amazon a week ago, and when i go to the disk management to format it so it displays on my computer. I get sent to a blue screen and its crashes or whatever.

What could be the problem?

Gigabyte Z87-D3HP Intel Z87
I used a program called killdisk, to erase everything on the SSD, because it had some OS files i transfered onto it, but displayed that nothing was on it.

just do a normal full format,that should be enough

ssd's dont leave traces of data behind like magnetic hdd's
