Hi,

I hope someone can help with an issue I have. I bought a PC from Overclockers around 2 years ago and selected the 32GB SSD drive as an additional upgrade.

I am continually having to move/delete items to create space.I have already relocated my documents, pictures etc to my HDD; disable hibernation and remove the pagefile.

Is there a way I can allocate part of my HDD to the SSD or completely move everything from my SSD to my HDD as the time/effort it is taking to maintain this isn't worth the benefit of the SSD?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Personally if funds allow it i'd opt for buying a larger SSD to replace your existing one. Moving to using your HDD as a boot drive will be very painful and SSD's are cheap these days to get a good size one to be able to cope with what you need as you've managed to a degree this far with 32gb.

If you do get a new SSD you could clone the existing drive to it and it would be a speed transfer but really i'd recommend put a fresh installation of Windows and starting cleanly.

120gb SSD circa £7x :)

Just so you're aware, having no pagefile will likely cause you problems sooner or later.

A 32GB SSD simply isn't big enough for a Windows install on its own, after a couple of years of installing software and updates it can easily grow to that size so your only real option is to clean install and/or upgrade to a larger SSD.

what motherboard? best free option is to switch to hdd caching if board supports it

other than that I agree with above in getting 120-250gb ssd

Move..

Documents/Photos/Music/Videos/Downloads locations to your hard drive.

Run CCleaner to remove temp files.
Disable System Restore
Remove your Pagefile from SSD, create one on HDD.

Remove folders like..

C:\Nvidia
C:\ATI
C:\Intel

My word, I thought that 60gb was as small as they get.
Do yourself a favor and get something of at least 120gb and start enjoying your machine instead of nursing your space.
If you are unsure of the install and migration, we are here to help.

Ditto the above. Upgrade your SSD to something larger and if your motherboard supports it use the 32Gb one to cache your mechanical drive.
