Hi All,

Apologies if this has been asked a million times before but I was wondering if there was a generic tool for checking the health of an SSD?

I've got an Advantech SSD which is causing me problems. I need to check with a different sata port on the motherboard, however if that gives the same results I'd like to run some diagnostics just to confirm it is the drive and not something else.

The symptoms are that the drive appears and disappears within the RAID BIOS and the RAID Recovery software within windows doesn't always see it.

I've had a look on advantechs website and I cant see any specific diagnostics tools so I was wondering if there were some generic ones which would work to diagnose the fault, or can I use kingstons diagnostics as an example?

Cheers

You could try the WD diagnostics tool,it generally shows all drives available to the machine.
