Just a quick Q

Are SSD's using binary or decimal gigabytes when specifying capacity.

ie is a 60GB SSD 60,000,000,000 bytes or 64,424,509,440 bytes?

are different manufacturer's using different schemes? eg Intel who have always used binary gigbaytes in their CPUs - are they still using the same for their SSDs.

Not sure, because i see some companies with 60GB SSD's and then others with 64GB. I think that all of them should be 60,000,000,000 bytes, but don't take my word for it.

The worse one I'm afraid, a 128gb ssd has exactly the same number of bytes as a 128gb hard drive.

OCZ are interesting on this, as they've chosen to name their 64gb drive as 60gb (and similarly elsewhere in their range) as it closer reflects the available capacity in the units people generally work in
