Can anyone explain why, Solid State Drives, even though they are going to be more common in 2010. Due to sales of Laptops with them installed. That they will not become mainstream and cheaper like the USB Flash Drives.

SSD's cost around twice the amount per GB of pen drives for a couple of reasons - firstly they have more complex and expensive controllers, along with cache, and are thus more expensive to build; but mainly it's because they have to use much faster and better quality NAND.
The NAND in pen drives only needs to last for a few hundred writes, NAND in SSD's has to last thousands.

Prices haven't gone down this year because as the economy recovered demand for fast NAND chips has increased faster than they can increase supply by building more factories.
