My family is considering purchasing a PC very soon, which will contain the following:

64GB SSD
1TB HDD

It looks like, surprisingly, that we might end up getting an SSD'd PC and I never thought we would but to be honest, the benefits sound awesome. I was planning on having the OS pre-installed on the SSD, for quicker loading and operation. However, I am now concerned as to how this would work. It's not me who's buying the PC so if anything is impractical I will be killed, as I pretty much located and pushed for us to get this PC. I was planning on using the SSD for faster loading, and then to install MS Office and a few games and programmes like Sony Vegas 10

My question is as follows: If the OS is on the SSD, then will stuff such as X86 Programs, App Data and my documents all be on it (essentially all directories), and none on the 1TB HDD? If so, then does this mean I cannot install all other programmes, and store all other items on the HDD? I get that I could just make a 'My Documents on the HDD, but what about Windows search functions and programme installation? Won't they be messed up?
