SSD / HDD itunes

Is there a way I can have itunes program on my ssd then the music stored on the 500gb storage drive? (Im pretty sure there is but ide like to know how)

Install iTunes.

Edit > Preference > Advanced > iTunes Media Folder Location. Just change that to your HDD.

Will that automatically update my music/playlists to the itunes installed on my ssd?

Im fairly sure it asks you if you want to move them. If not, there is a consolidate option or something similar.

Managed to do the songs and playlists.

Just need to workout how to transfer the ratings over

I had certain songs ticked to sync to my iphone. Looks like I may have to do it all again
